Iredell Arts Council Welcomes Sydney Koppelmeyer as New Executive Director
Statesville, NC — The Iredell Arts Council is thrilled to announce Sydney Koppelmeyer as its new Executive Director, effective November 21, 2024. Sydney, a passionate advocate for the arts, has been a long standing supporter and volunteer with the Arts Council.
As Marketing Chair of the Full Bloom Film Festival, she played a vital role in shaping the festival’s most successful year to date. Her work as a contract marketing professional for the Arts Council has allowed her to familiarize herself with the organization’s programming, introducing new approaches to community engagement and enhancing the Council’s outreach efforts.
Sydney also brings extensive experience from her full-time position in marketing and community relations at Piedmont HealthCare, where she honed her skills in community-based communications and developed strong connections within the local area.
The Arts Council’s Board of Directors extends deep gratitude to the previous Executive Director, John Koppelmeyer, who has built an enduring legacy of fostering creativity and community through quality programming and support for diverse talent. Under John’s guidance, the Iredell Arts Council has become a beloved institution in the region, known for its innovative and accessible events.
“I am deeply honored and excited to take on this role at the Iredell Arts Council,” said Sydney Koppelmeyer. “The Iredell Arts Council has become known for delivering diverse and high-quality programming that resonates with our community.
